Bauroc U-shaped aerated concrete blocks for lintels and monolithic beams

Bauroc U-blocks are U-shaped aerated concrete blocks used as formwork for monolithic concrete beams, which increase the strength of the masonry structure. They are made by cutting finished Bauroc blocks after autoclaving, and the blocks have a smooth surface. With U-blocks, lintels over window and door openings can be made right on the building site.

Key features

• Length 500 mm, height 200 mm, width from 200 to 500 mm
• Autoclaved aerated concrete with an average dry density of 375 or 450 kg/m³
• A lintel made of U-blocks must rest on the wall by at least 250 mm
• Only standard blocks are laid at the bearing points, and the U-blocks are placed on top of them on Bauroc adhesive mortar

Where to use

For forming monolithic beams, for support under panels, floor beams and wall plates, and for window and door lintels. Reinforcement is designed in accordance with the rules for reinforced concrete structures; for large openings or heavy loads, metal profiles can be used instead of a rebar cage.
