Caparol Putzgrund 605 is an adhesion primer for sound mineral substrates, applied before the finishing plaster. It evens out the absorbency of the substrate, makes the plaster easier to apply and texture, and also holds back water that could otherwise soak into the base plaster through defects in the textured render. On plasterboard, the primer considerably reduces the risk of a thin gypsum filler coat flaking off.

- Good adhesion to poorly absorbent substrates and to subsequent coats
- Easy to apply, thinned with water
- Consumption about 250 g/m² per coat (on a smooth surface)
Where to use
For exterior and interior work on lime-cement and gypsum plasters, gypsum fillers, calcium silicate bricks, ceramic bricks, concrete, plasterboard, dispersion paints and old sound coatings. The substrate must be firm, clean and free of substances that weaken adhesion.
