Confol Alfa horizontal waterproofing membrane for foundations

Confol Alfa is a black horizontal waterproofing membrane with an embossed surface that protects foundations and walls from capillary moisture. Laid between the foundation and the wall, it prevents moisture from rising up through the structure and thus also protects the building's thermal insulation. The film is resistant to moisture and wear.

• Thickness 0.4 mm, black colour
• Tensile strength ≥150 N/5 cm lengthways and ≥120 N/5 cm crossways
• UV-resistant, temperature resistance from -34 °C to +80 °C
• If the membrane is laid correctly, the seams do not need to be glued – the pressure of the wall and the film's embossing are sufficient
• Width 0.25 m, 0.365 m or 0.5 m, length 50 m

Where to use

For horizontal waterproofing of strip foundations: the membrane is laid across the full width of the foundation, slightly wider than it, with overlaps of at least 20 cm. It is also suitable as a moisture-resistant layer when installing wooden windows and, together with bitumen compound, for joining different insulation layers.
