Fibo Bi reinforcement is used to reinforce Fibo expanded clay concrete block masonry. It is made of two connected Ø 4 mm steel bars, 4 m long, and its width allows the reinforcement to be embedded in the mortar joint.
Key features
- One reinforced joint for every metre of wall height
- For 100 and 150 mm wide blocks – one length of reinforcement per joint, for other widths – two
- Overlap of at least 300 mm where lengths are joined
- At a corner, one bar is cut and the other is bent
Where to use
For reinforcing Fibo block walls to reduce cracking. The steel must be covered with mortar on all sides to protect it from corrosion.
