Finnfoam LB slab foundation corner element, 100×585×2500 mm

Finnfoam LB is an element of the Finnfoam slab foundation system, in which a single concrete foundation slab is poured into a structure made of Finnfoam sheets. This separates the whole building from the ground, no thermal bridges form in the foundations, and problems caused by ground freezing, subsidence and foundation deformation are avoided.

Where to use

For slab foundations of all types of buildings, including passive houses and buildings of energy efficiency class A, A+ or A++; foundations can also be built on unstable ground. In the Finnfoam system, the side L profile is formed with LBS 300 perimeter formwork or with separate LB 300 and LS 300 elements, and the base with FL-300 sheets. An air-permeable separating layer – geotextile, breathable (diffusion) membrane or paper – is laid between the thermal insulation and the concrete; a polyethylene vapour barrier must not be used.
