Finnfoam LS-300 is an extruded polystyrene (XPS300) perimeter board for the side edge of a slab foundation. Together with Finnfoam LB300 elements, it forms the L profile of the foundation, which insulates the foundation and at the same time serves as formwork for pouring the concrete, so separate formwork does not have to be built.
Key features
- 40×50 mm groove for fixing to the lower board
- Two notches – along them the board can be trimmed to the height required for the particular insulation and floor thickness
- Grooved surface to which render or other plinth finishing holds well
- Low water absorption, resistance to long-term loads
- Size 100×600×2500 mm (1.5 m²), 3 boards per pack (4.5 m²)
Where to use
For insulating the side edge of a slab foundation – the board stays in the structure and at the same time serves as formwork. A continuous XPS construction has no cold bridges, and building the foundation does not require a large amount of excavation work.
