Isover RKL-31 wind barrier thermal insulation slab, 30×1200×1800 mm

Isover RKL-31 is a wind barrier thermal insulation slab made of rigid mineral wool that insulates the structure and protects it from the wind at the same time. One side of the slab is covered with a glass fibre covering, the other with a special wind barrier layer. The material is chemically neutral, does not rot or decay, and has the highest building product emission class, M1.

• Fire safety class A2; suitable for structures of all fire resistance grades (U1, U2, U3)
• Slab size 30×1200×1800 mm, 7 slabs per pack
• About 4–6 fixings per m² are needed for fastening; the exact number is specified in the design
• The joints are not intended to be sealed with tape; if they are sealed, use a neutral building mastic, such as Isover Vario DoubleFit

Where to use

As thermal insulation and wind protection for external walls, attics, mansards and ventilated crawl spaces – in both multi-storey and low-rise buildings. The 30 mm thick slabs are fixed with Isover RKL spacers, masonry tie rods with a washer or insulation plugs. Installation is carried out in dry conditions, and unpacked slabs must be protected from precipitation, wind and sun.
