Knauf FPF is a two-component polyurethane fire-rated foam used for fire-resistant sealing of places where cables, pipes and other services pass through walls and floors. The foam is easy and clean to apply: thanks to its high viscosity, it stays in the filled space and does not run out. The red-brown foam stays elastic after curing, so the seal can easily be repaired or redone later.
Key features
- Fire resistance up to EI120 (depending on the application): EI 90 for mixed penetrations, EI 120 for cables only
- Good thermal and sound insulation, air permeability Q600 below 0.08 m³/h·m² at 600 Pa
- Swells 1.6–4.5 times in fire (450 °C, 25 min)
- Can be cut after about 90 seconds (22 °C)
- Use category Z1 – suitable for interiors with high humidity
- Density after curing ≥ 215 kg/m³
