Mira 4180 Primer is a deep-penetrating primer for porous substrates, used before levelling compounds, waterproofing and tile adhesives. It seals the pores, reduces the formation of air bubbles and ensures very good adhesion. The primer is tinted yellow and is applied with a paintbrush or brush.
Key features
- For absorbent substrates (concrete, lightweight concrete, plaster) dilute with water 1:3
- For less absorbent substrates dilute 1:2
- Painted surfaces, ceramic tiles and wood are primed with the undiluted concentrate
- Adhesion can be improved further by dusting dry cement over the primer
Where to use
On a prepared and sufficiently dry substrate before levelling, waterproofing or tiling. The substrate must be stable, free of adhesive and paint residues, oil, grease, dirt and crumbling particles, and holes and cracks must first be filled with a compatible, water-resistant repair material.
