Hardboard, or hard wood fibre board, is made by pressing wood fibres at high pressure and temperature. Because of the wet production process, one side of the board is smooth, while the other has a mesh-like texture. The thin, lightweight sheet is well suited to cladding and various auxiliary tasks.
