Rockwool Frontrock L stone wool facade lamella, 200×1200 mm

Rockwool Frontrock L are stone wool slabs, or lamellas, with a vertical fibre orientation for insulating facades. They are bonded to masonry, monolithic or prefabricated walls with adhesive mortar alone – no additional mechanical fixings are needed if the tensile strength of the substrate perpendicular to the surface is at least 0.08 MPa.

Where to use

For rendered facades, including where heavy finishing materials – clinker, tiles or slate – are planned. The lamellas are bonded using the comb method; if there is doubt about the adhesion of the mortar to the substrate, an adhesion test is carried out and, if necessary, the substrate is primed. In normal weather conditions the reinforcement layer can be applied and the finishing continued after two days. The lamellas are also suitable for insulating the ceilings of unheated spaces, such as basements and underground car parks.
