Sakret BAK is a grey cement-based mortar for bonding and reinforcing stone wool and polystyrene thermal insulation slabs.
Sakret BAK is a grey cement-based mortar for bonding and reinforcing stone wool and polystyrene thermal insulation slabs. It is reinforced with polypropylene fibre, and additives improve its adhesion and flexibility. The mortar is part of the certified SAKRET insulation systems – ETICS EPS and ETICS MW.
Key features
- Water- and frost-resistant, permits water vapour to pass through
- When reinforcing, the layer is up to 5 mm and the mesh must be fully covered with mortar
- On a level wall, apply the mortar over the whole slab with a 12 mm notched trowel
Where to use
For insulating facades with stone wool or EPS slabs. On an uneven wall, apply the mortar along the edges of the slab in a strip about 5 cm wide and 2 cm high, and place 6 dabs in the middle. When reinforcing, draw the mortar out with a notched trowel, press an alkali-resistant mesh into it and smooth it, while for mineral wool slabs the mortar is first rubbed into the surface.
