Swisspearl (Cembrit) Permabase is a cement board with mineral fillers, reinforced with glass fibre mesh, that serves as a substrate for a thin finishing render. It is fixed to a pre-prepared frame. Despite its strength, the board can be cut using a straightedge and an ordinary knife with snap-off blades, and it can be bent to a radius of 1.5 m, so curved surfaces can be made too.
